Kirsty Johnson and Sharn Whaites made the long journey to Leigh for the second fixture in the SOUTH EAST LANCS CROSS-COUNTRY LEAGUE. In difficult conditions both had excellent races. Kirsty finished in 4th position clocking 28.51, beating namesake Kirsty (White) the Oldham and Royton runner who headed her in the shortened race at Tandle Hill. This puts KJ in a good position in the series. Sharn continues to get stronger as the XC season goes on with a time of 34.07 finishing 39th out of 55 runners.
Kirsty tracking number 529 Tania Hernandez (Salford) who went on to finish 2nd and Becki Robinson (Oldham and Royton) who finished 6th.
