Heaton Park XC

13 Glossopdale Harriers made the journey to Middleton on a thoroughly wet day to compete at the SOUTH-EAST LANCS XC fixture at HEATON PARK. The race was also the last counter in the 2015 Club Championships and a chance to earn some valuable points at the end of the year. Caity Rice had a tremendous run to win the Senior Women’s race in the very heavy conditions. She was well supported by Kirsty Johnson who finished 4th, Jo Brack and Lins Palmer.  Tim Budd finished was first back in the men’s race closely pursued by Chris Jackson. Debutant Saul Lovatt had an excellent race to be next counter.

Chris was 6th (33.13) and Caity 20th and 4th female (34.52) in the HURST GREEN TURKEY TROT race near Clitheroe

Tim Culshaw competed at the PEAK RAID 3 mini mountain marathon score orienteering event held on the moors to the north of Crowden

Tim Culshaw accumulated an excellent 430 points but then was given a stiff penalty of 200 points because he arrived back 3 minutes late.

Carl Bedson was 25th out of 83 runners in 62.17 at the MYTHOLMROYD FELL RACE and also 35th/69 at the KIRKBY MOOR FELL RACE
