Following on from the excellent performances at the HOLLINGWORTH LAKE 5K on Easter Monday, three harriers were out racing again two days later at the start of the Spring midweek season. Neil McGraw was 16th in 18.15 and Matt Crompton 34th in 19.35, sub 20 yet again, at the COLIN AND BRENDA ROBINSON COWN 5K in Whitworth. The race was graced with the presence of Stockport Harrier Jess Coulson, a previous European cross-country champion who won the race in 16.40.

John Hewitt was also backing up his current excellent 5K form finishing 1st V50 and 11th overall in 20.32 at the first race of the CURLEY 5K SERIES. Results below:-

16 harriers in action this week. PBs at Glossop for Lizzy Leason, John Stephenson and Rachel Walton, Caity 2nd place, Danny Oldham 1st at Lyme Park, Kirsty 1st female and 3rd overall at Watergrove. Runners also at Oldham and Woodbank
Tim Culshaw was 12th in 3 hours 19.02 at the new ESKDALE ELEVATION RACE organised by our friends at Pennine.
Tough route for this new race
Several harriers raced at the local LADS LEAP fell race and enjoyed muddy yet increasingly sunny conditions. Caity was 2nd lady and with good support from Lizzy, Lins, Kasia, Cheryl and Beryl, yet another team prize was secured. Provisional Glossopdale results:-

Both Steve Knight 1.22.57 (132nd) and Matt Crompton 1.30.55 were very pleased with new personal best times at the WATERS WILMSLOW HALF MARATHON. Well done lads!
Nick Ham was 36th/60 in 1.43.37 at the ERWOOD LONG fell race
Mary Jeal finished the VATTENFALL BERLIN HALF MARATHON in 1.58.47. Nice one Mary!
David Munday finished the SCHNEIDER ELECTRICAL MARATHON DE PARIS in 5.14.11 and goes to the top of the 2016 club champs marathon ladder
