***Committee update re Covid 19***
Based on government advice that came out earlier today (16th March) the committee has taken the decision to cancel all training sessions and club runs with immediate effect. We will continue to keep you updated about our position based on government/Public Health England/EA guidance. We know that many of you will want to continue to run, and we would encourage that if you are healthy and not isolating, that you arrange any runs as you wish bearing in mind the need to minimise non-essential gatherings. Please do this privately and NOT on the GDH page. In the meantime, we hope everyone stays safe and well!
When we’re back to normal, the club sessions will be as below:
Tuesday: 6:45pm Coached Session
Club members, please sign up HERE if you are willing to plan and lead a Pack Run on Thursday evenings.
As a club we abide by and strongly encourage all runners to follow the Countryside Code. Roaming on the hills is a hard fought Right and it would be tragic if restrictions were placed upon us all because of inappropriate actions by the uninformed and selfish few.
In the darker months of November to March we try to meet at a pub on the first Thursday of the month to run and then socialise over a beverage afterward.
Members of the club are also active on other days of the week with smaller social and training runs being organised by individuals on the Facebook page.
There are also longer, informal off road runs on the Weekend, with the focus being on just enjoying being out and about in the hills.
