Fell Challenges / Races

It’s time to get out in the hills.  Here’s a few local challenges and historic race routes.

This has been used for years as a time trial, a social or a training route.  A good solid 12 or so miles visiting our three most local trig points. CLICK HERE FOR ROUTE INFORMATION

Road and trail runners beware – this wont be fun (hence the name). Devised during 2020 covid-world by Ian Crutchley, this takes a visit to Kinder for a run you’ll never forget. CLICK HERE FOR ROUTE INFORMATION

Glossopdale “Women Only” Fell Race

Only held for two years in the 90s, this short, sharp route takes a tour up to Harry Hut and back. CLICK HERE FOR ROUTE INFORMATION

Saddleworth 10 Trigs

Glossopdales Chris Webb created this gem, by stitching together the Saddleworth and Northern 5 Trig routes. Chris’ inaugural run time of 6:17:54 will take some beating! CLICK HERE FOR ROUTE INFORMATION

David Bray Memorial Race

Held between 2005 and 2009, this is a lovely out and back to Wild Bank Trig, with a loop around Lees Hill in the middle. CLICK HERE FOR ROUTE INFORMATION
